So what exactly is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is when a website owner or blog owner signs up to become an affiliate for a company or business. The affiliate then joins their affiliate program then becomes known now as a publisher. The affiliate then promotes their product in attempt to direct traffic to that business to make a sale. If a sale is generated the affiliate is then paid a commission which is usually a percentage of that sale. Most commissions paid to affiliates are paid by cost per sale (CPS). Other affiliate programs are paid by cost per action (CPA) or cost per click (CPC). It all depends on what the business is looking for. I know most for example pays you a percentage of that sale generated for example 15% of a $25.00 sale will make you $3.75 just for simply directing that traffic to the business website. Now if you have a ton of traffic coming to your blog or website you can see how much money you can make with affiliate marketing. The website traffic you get to your site will ultimately determine how much money you will make being an affiliate.
