Step by step guide for blogger, WordPress and selfhosted WordPress blog to submit their blog’s sitemap to Google. So whenever you post new article (post), Google will get informed about your blog/site updates. In my last tutorial, you learned how to submit your blog/website to google through Google Webmaster Tool, next we step, we have to do is “Submit your sitemap to this tool. For thisprocess first you need to learn what is sitemap, how to create sitemap for your blog. Process for creating sitemap is different for Blogspot (blogger), Free WordPress, Free weebly and Self-hosted WordPress. Here, is a guide for all platforms to create sitemap and submission to google. After adding my blog’s sitemap to google, I’ve seen 20% of traffic increases from google search engine, though my blog contains only 20 post..

How to submit you Blogspot sitemap to Google webmaster tool

You must have to create your rss through feedburner before doing this wholeprocess.
 1) Go to google webmaster
2) Click on your blog name (In the last tutorial, we learned how to add blogspot blog to Google Search engine and how to add other blogging platforms to google webmaster)
3) On the right-bottom of the page, there is Submit a sitemap link- click on that link
4) On next page, there is again submit a sitemap button, when you click on that
it gives following box
http://yoursitename.blogspot.com/
 Submit  sitemap
3) Now add  following in this box
add “atom.xml” or “rss.xml”  in this box OR you can add both of them but make sure to do one by one. I recommend you to add all three types of sitemap. For me more posts were indexed by adding following sitemaps:
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
rss.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

What to do if you have 500 post?

1)In this box add following code
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
OR
Rss.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
Your 500 post links will be updated in the sitemap.

What to do if you have more than 500? You need to submit each line one by one

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1001&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1501&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=2001&max-results=500
OR
Instead of atom, you can add rss
You can see after Index=1, then index=501 means more 500 post so total 1000 post submission same way you can do 2000-3000 blog posts submission.
Once you are done with all submission, you don’t need to do every time; webmaster tool will automatically pull your new blog post feed.

Now next to sitemap url, you can see green tick mark(that is verified sign), how many url is submitted and how many are been  indexed….It takes time to get eachblog post indexed but believe me if it starts getting indexed, your blog will appear more in Google.
